Boutique Physio
"Restoring Mindful Movement"
About Boutique Physio.
Boutique Physio may be a new name in St. Louis, but founder Joanne Macza, PT, OCS, Cert. MDT, CKTP is a familiar face to the community. With over 25 years of experience, including managing the city's top-rated physical therapy clinic for the past three years, Joanne's new practice is the next step in her commitment to providing the highest quality manual-based physical therapy in a nurturing and serene environment.

Joanne's passion for patient-centered care led her to start Boutique Physio, where she can focus on identifying and treating the root cause of each patient's issue, rather than just addressing their symptoms. She believes in providing one-on-one attention to each patient to ensure they receive the personalized care they deserve.

Starting her own practice has given Joanne the opportunity to continue providing her patients with the exceptional service and commitment that have earned her a reputation as one of the best physical therapists in the region. At Boutique Physio, you'll receive care from a highly experienced and compassionate team dedicated to helping you achieve your goals.
Our Approach.
At Boutique Physio, we pride ourselves on providing personalized care that is centered around the needs of our patients. We understand that every person is unique, and that's why our approach to treatment is comprehensive and tailored specifically to you.

Our team of experts utilize specialized manual therapy techniques and take a whole-body approach to identify the root cause of your pain or dysfunction. By combining mechanical mobilization, neuromuscular facilitation, and motor movement retraining, we work with you to enhance your coordination and maximize your strength, optimizing your mechanics for more efficient movement.

At Boutique Physio, we believe that personalized care and attention is key to achieving your health and wellness goals. Let us help you on your journey to better health and wellness with our patient-centered approach to physical therapy.
Our Method.
At our practice, we take a comprehensive approach to physical therapy that goes beyond just exercise. We specialize in a hands-on manual approach that restores joint movement and retrains your body's movement patterns using specific activation exercises to maximize automatic reinforcement.

Our method starts with enhancing your mechanics to achieve proper core activation. The core acts as a battery for stabilizing the body, and we make sure to reactivate and replenish it frequently during the retraining phase, especially when there's an injury or dysfunction, or when you've hit a plateau in your training.

We begin the retraining process by manually correcting deficient movement patterns, then activate the core, and progress by engaging additional muscles in a coordinated manner to create an automated response.

What sets our approach apart is that we also incorporate psychological retraining, or "brain training," as part of our physical retraining process to achieve the mind-body connection that leads to long-term automatic efficiency. At Boutique Physio, we are committed to helping you achieve your health and wellness goals by providing personalized, patient-centered care that addresses the root cause of your pain or dysfunction.
